Banjo Minnow Fishing Lure News, Success Stories, and Letters

June 2008

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEND US A STORY OR PICTURE, E-MAIL US AT wayne@banjominnow.com

Below are letters and e-mails from Banjo Minnow Fishermen/women. We get literally thousands of letters telling us of their success. It is impossible for us to print them all, but here are a few of the best.

Other Banjo fishermen/women love to hear about others success with the Banjo. Every Banjo fan shares the same secret. They bought it with great doubt or it was given to them. They didn't want anyone to see them using it at first, and then they were amazed to learn that the infomercial didn't lie, that the stories were true......the Banjo Minnow really will out fish any lure in existence today (except in murky or muddy water, then it is the same as other lures). All Banjo users take great glee in out fishing the "the experts who know its just another stupid TV lure"!

Subject: Unbelieveable fishing story.

Ok,
First let me start out by saying I found a good size pound maybe 1 acre. Its kind of out of view of the everyday person looking for a fishing hole. I found it using Google Earth one day bye accident. Anyway I noticed there where a lot of bass in this pond and since it doesn't get a lot of fishing pressure I figured it would be easy picking. Well I tried many popular lures, live and soft plastic baits with not much or well no luck really. So I purchased your banjo minnow set at my local BassProShop. Well ill say this. After the first day I no longer have any banjo frogs, and I am out of the white banjo minnows completely as well. I caught 15 bass and I don't know how many got off my line do to my unexpected bite reactions. Not one bass I caught was under 4 lbs. the biggest was close to 8 lbs. I have used a lot of baits in my life and I have to say your minnow is the best thing for fishing since the fishing pole! I highly recommend this to anyone who needs the best bait on the market. All my friends are now running out to buy it as well. I'll never tell them where my new fishing hole is cause .........well that would be just plain wrong of me to give away such a good piece of fishing heaven. All thanx to your Banjo Minnow! Thank you so much and keep on making these unbelievable products.

Subject: The best lure ever!!!!!

My name is Jamey Adams from Ruby, SC I am 31 years old. My wife surprized me this Fathers Day with the new Banjo Minnows. I could not wait until I got them to try them out. When they finally arrived I was so excited that I didn't even watch the video. I was a little skeptical about how good they would really work. I went to a local pond I used to fish when I was younger and didn't even bring anything to put the fish in if I caught something. Well, with my first cast, I got  a bite but did not hook it. Within the next 30 minutes I had caught 7 bass so decided to leave and find me a bucket. By the time I left for the day I had 13 bass in the bucket! So I caught over 20 bass the first time I used your lure! I have never had so much fun fishin in all my years fishing, it was awesome. I went back a couple of days later to see if it was a fluke or if I had just gotten lucky and what do you know I brought home 10 more nice size bass not counting the ones I threw back. Well your lure really works and for anyone who wants to catch some fish then this is the lures to get because they really work. Well Thanks again for the amazing lures and can't wait to get back out there and have some more fun!

A Very Happy Angler

I never thought I would be writing to you praising your product, but after what happened in the first 10 minutes of using one of your minnows and your frogs, I am a huge believer in the Banjo System.I had just rigged up my 6 year-old daughter with a Banjo frog and my 8 year-old with a Banjo neon-green minnow and I was working on setting my 4 ½ year old up with a frog when my daughter started screaming. She had a big bite. The kids were fishing off the dock, so I ran out to check on her and she was almost falling in the water.I checked her rod and there was a big fish on.Big enough that dad had to help.We landed a 22.75”, 7.5lb largemouth within the first few casts of the Banjo frog. While this was all happening, my oldest son kept casting and as we were taking pictures of his sister's fish, he caught about a 3.5 lb largemouth on his Banjo minnow. This all happened in the first 15 minutes of using your product for the first time! The next morning my 4 ½ year old got into the swing of things. He caught a nice 2.75 lb largemouth. see attached pictures). My kids love to fish and now all they talk about are the Banjo minnows.

Thanks! Bill Doll

Subject: Hello

Hello Wayne, I saw your infomercial for the banjo minnow 006 kit. You were so convincing my dad and I said, " we need to get that lure". So we immediately ordered. Then they finally came and that night we went fishing. On my second cast BAM I caught a 4 lb bass. My dad caught one also his was 6 lb. At the end of catching fish we ended up with 5 bass in 1 hour. We love your product and we will be using the banjo minnow 006 until new banjo minnows come out. I have one question though, is there any way we can order more supplies for the banjo minnow 006. For example : weedless rubber band, hooks and eyes.

Thank you for your time,
Sam and Jerry Karp

Dear Wayne,
I'm suprised at how well the banjo minnow works.  I go to these ponds near rifle colorado that have a varity of fish. There is only one pond out of the three i fish in and yet it is the smallest.  It has the biggest bass I have ever seen in Colorado.   With your new banjo minnow I now catch bigger bass, pike, walleye, trout, muskie, and crappie.  I caught a bass that was only 1.5 pounds under the state record.  Thanks for the wonderfull invetntion.

Sincerly, Brad Jimbo

Subject: This is the BEST lure EVER!

I am 14 years old and I live in the small town of Ottoville, Oh. I live around a small 4 acers lake that has no vegatation at all and is only about 10 feet deep. The fish in this lake don't have any cover for habitat so they all feed on blue gill by the shore. When they are not feeding on blue gill they are in groups around the water bubbles. (pumps that people get their water from) Well, any way, lets get back to the fish part. Since there is no vegatation for habitat the bass that you catch in this lake are usually very small, only about 6-10 inches big. But when I hooked the Banjo Minnow on my line the big fish came alive! Only on my 4th cast I hooked a 19 incher and there were two fish about the same size swimming with it. I guess that there are big fish in this lake, but the usually angler will not catch these fish cuz they are smart, and also because they dont fish with a great life like lure like the banjo minnow. Thank you Wayne for this wonderfull lure I plan on useing it quiet offten,
Ryan

Dear Wayne,
I recently purchased one of the Banjo minnow kits at a Bass Pro Shop in Memphis.  I had been wanting to fish with them really badly, but had not been able to until just yesterday. One of my fathers friends (Danny) has a small pond behind his house, and he challanged me to a little contest. My Banjo minnow against some jig that he had said was the best jig ever and that could catch anything. It was hot, in the middle of the day and the fish were not feeding. After the first few minutes I had missed a couple fish and Danny who hadn't had any bites said,"if they aint biting on this then they aint biting at all." At the end of the 15 minute contest I had caught about three fish and missed a few others and Danny hadn't caught a thing! He came up to me and said that I had showed him up and that he would have to get some of those Banjo Minnows for himself. So thanks a lot for making such a great product. The Banjo Minnow fishing system really does catch more fish!

The banjo minnows have replaced every lure I've ever owned! They're incredible! I can throw one on any time of the day, good conditions or not, and if any fish sees it it bites. Every time. I catch fish after fish after fish using these lures. Some people say they don't work, like a few of my friends. When I let them use one on the right setup with a lighter tipped rod, they all were sold. Every lure I've ever owned has now been put in my garbage tackle box, full of things I never use. With the new heavier eyes to fish the bottom. I'm never gonna need to buy a different lure again in my life. I'm sold!!!

Hi wayne,
I live in central Ohio and the biggest fish we have are probably 6 lb large mouth. Well I went out today after watching your video to a pond at my house that hasnt been fished in a long time,
oh, and by the way, I just got these Banjo's today, and on my first cast i caught a 3 lb largemouth. I have never seen a bait this good. The only thing that compares is live bait itself! Thank you so much.

Subject: Muskie...my first!!

Well, I was a believer of this lure since 1999, but I made a mistake back then and only ordered one kit! Since then I have caught fish time and time again using the Banjo Minnow when all else failed. I fished mostly in New Hampshire and caught bass, pickerel, perch, trout, salmon, small pike, and an assortment of sunfish. I have lived in Minnesota now for two years, and I was fishing on one of my favorite lakes two weeks ago using my second favorite lure; a spinnerbait with a curlytail trailer. Well, a pike destroyed the legs of the curlytail jig so I dug through my box looking for another trailer but couldn't find one. I found a bag full of Banjo Minnows that I had kept just in case since 1999, and put a white minnow on the hook of my spinnerbait. Well the action was nothing less than miraculous, and with a renewed love of the Banjo I took the spinnerbait off and hooked up a 5" Banjo and started casting. I caught quite a few nice sized bass, and then spotted a large shape in the water that looked like a fish, but bigger than anything I had ever caught. I casted a foot in front of this monster and let the minnow die...two twitches later and I had a 38 inch muskie on the end of my line that exploded out of the water numerous times soaking my wife and I in the boat. Well, the bass net we had fit the muskie's head in it, but not much more so I gave my wife the rod and picked the fish out of the water. The picture doesn't do the fish nearly enough justice, but it was a beast in my book and the biggest fish my wife or I had ever seen pulled into the boat. I guess this whole email is a big thank you for coming up with the only lure that I think will work anytime in any body of water. I just ordered my second kit and included a third...just in case!! Thanks again for a great contribution to the fishing world.

Sincerely,
Joe Vanasse

Wayne, Hello my name is Dean. Just wanted to say thanks for the minnows! I ordered the kit a few day s ago and it arrived Saturday just before father's day. I live on a lake in Orlando, Fl, so I planned to go out first thing Sunday morning with  my 6 year old son. He remembered the commercial and asked if we were going to catch big fish like on tv. About 5 more minutes and the first one comes in the boat. a whoping 7 lb 8 oz. Not bad using the technique that was shown on the dvd. A couple of minutes later another largemouth 4 lbs, 10 minutes later and another 5 lb largemouth. We had a great time, couldn't ask for a better morning. Today was my first day out, I'll be heading to Mosquito lagoon next weekend, and Im really looking forward to it. Thanks Again

Subject: One of the fish I caught with the banjo minnow

The other day I found out that my friend had a private pond. And, I decided to fish it about a week later and decided to try out the banjo minnow. I got a bite that felt really heavy. I thought to myself "This bass might be the biggest one I've ever caught!"  But, after I finally got the fish tired out and got it onto the dock, it wasn't a bass!  It was actually a 21" 3lb. channel catfish!  And that was the first time in my life I've ever caught a catfish on a lure.

Dear Wayne, THANKS!!! I have to admit I was a skeptic,I always used to say that artificial bait was not as good as live. But then I bought your banjo minow kit and woooo hoooo!!! I'm from Il just south of chicago.I belong to a great sportsman's club and fish a lot of lakes around the soutwest suburbs. My first day out with my new banjo minow I caught a couple rock bass while just learning how to fish the bait, later in the day I hooked a nice northern but he cut my line with his teeth, good fun.The next day out at a huge lake down south ,no one was doing any good I saw no one catching much, sure enough I landed what was probably the nicest large mouth in my 35 years and Ive been fishing since I was a very little guy! That would have been enough for me that day seeing as it was rainy and real windy but bam got a real nice striper a little later!Needless to say I am a banjo minow man from here on out, great product Wayne!I had 2 spinal surgeries in my neck over the past 3-4 years and I really get hurting fast even just fishin but I just can't stop casting that banjo minow, and believe after a long day fishin I pay the price (pain)but I'm addicted to that darn banjo minow!!!I am probably going to have to have a third surgery but I know how I'm gonna recooperate hahahah banjo!!!! Thanks Wayne.Oh yea can I buy specific bait and more hooks without buying a whole additional kit Wayne? Thanks again for great new lure Wayne ,hope to hear back from you!!!

Thanks Again Wayne,Mike

I recieved and tried my banjo minnows today 6/6/2008. It was a little awkward at first.

I had to retrain myself on "not striking" when the bass hit, but they hit and hit.

After I got the hang of it, I pulled 2 three lb bass out quickly. The Banjo Minnow Really Works!!!!

WAYNE,
I'M AN ISLAMORADA FISHING GUIDE AND ONE OF MY ANGLERS DR LLOYD WRUBLE, WAS GIVEN THE BANJO MINNOW TO TRY YESTERDAY. THE SNOOK, REDFISH, TARPON AND TROUT POUNDED THESE MINNOWS. I PLAN ON USING THESE EVERYIME I FISH OVER IN FLAMINGO AND FLORIDA BAY AND I CAN'T WAIT TO USE THEM IGFA INSHORE TOURNAMENT IN JULY. Wayne,
I simply laugh. My brother has a boat and fishes reg., I fish from the shore. I moved to a small rural area in the center of Missouri, which has a few nice public lakes in the area. I fished there a couple of times and had ZERO luck in catching one fish.  I then pulled out my Banjo from 4 or 5 years ago and started fishing. Please see photos. I used them on top of the water, and thru Lilly pads. On three different occasions, you can see what happened. I did not have a measuring stick, but I can assume they were 5 plus lbs. and the last one was closer to 8lbs.

What a great product.

Wayne,
I am David McGraw, originally from Houston, Texas, I currently live in Many, Louisiana on Toledo Bend Lake. About 10 years ago I was part of your advertisement for Banjo minnow. I have been on every infomercial since. On your present ad for your 006 bait, I am at the end of the 30 minute segment (the guy with the Texas accent). I am preparing for a the McDonald Big Bass Splash tournament on Toledo Bend, June 20 -22, I would love to use the 006 to help win the tournament. If this happens, more advertisement for Banjo minnow. If you would like to send me a cap, t-shirt, baits, etc., I would be happy to wear this at the tournament. I have placed an order for the 006, in hopes it will be hear for the tournament.

Not long after I did the commercial in Houston, my wife caught a 13 pound large mouth bass on your Banjo minnow, now she is a believer too!  I would love to hear from you.

Subject: Biggest Fish Ever Caught

Dear Wayne,
Just had to say thank you and Wow. I live in NJ and the State Record Largemouth is just 10lbs 14 oz. I have found a little Farm Pond in which my friend and I have named Banjo Pond. We are convinced NJ's next State Record will come from this little pond. For the last couple of years we have seen very large bass swimming in this pond but were never able to catch any with good size. We started fishing the pond with the 006 Banjo Minnow around Mid May of 08. The bass we are catching are just getting bigger and better every week since. On June 5 around 830 pm I took this nice 7.4 lb largemouth. She was 24 inches long. This is by far the biggest bass I have ever caught. Of course we released her. I never would have caught this without the banjominnow. Your product is great. I look forward to righting you again after catching the NJ's next State Record.
Thank you for this moment it was great.
